Dr. Anastase NDUWAYEZU

Research Scientist in POTATO Pathology, Rwanda Agriculture Board

Anastase Nduwayezu is a Rwandan, specifically from Burera District/ Northern Province. He is PhD holder in Plant Pathology and climate change, done at University Felix Houphouet Boigny (U-FHB)/ Côte d’Ivoire. His Master's studies were in Catholic University of Louvain (UCL)/ Belgium, and his bachelor’s from the University of Rwanda (UR)/ Rwanda.

He works at RAB (Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board) as Potato Pathology Scientist, from 2006 up to now. In his career, he has been scientist, Coordinator of Crop Protection Program in Rwandan Northern Province, Cluster Coordinator of the Plantwise Project, and Coordinator of CIP (Crop Intensification Program) in the same area, and he has also been assigned to be Head Plant Pathology Laboratory in RAB Musanze. During his research career, he has 11 articles published in official journals.

From 2008 to 2018, he has been a part-time lecturer at CAVM / UR (University of Rwanda).

Before RAB from 2004, he was CRS- Rwanda (Catholic Relief Services in RWANDA) and GAA-Rwanda (German Agro-Action in Rwanda) staff, as Coordinator of Agriculture Technology Transfer in both NGOs.

From 1999 to 2006, he was a teacher in different Secondary Schools.

His hobbies: He likes music practice, listening and physical exercises.
