Dr. Daniel Nsengumuremyi

Dr. Daniel Nsengumuremyi presently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Science, and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), specifically within the Department of Food Science and Technology. His professional responsibilities encompass pedagogy, scientific research, community outreach, and consultancy services within the realm of Food Biotechnology and Microbiology. Dr. Daniel Nsengumuremyi is the holder of a PhD in Engineering (Biotechnology of Food and Biological active substances) from National Research ITMO University (Russia), an MSc in Biotechnology (Food Biotechnology program) from Ural Federal University (Russia), and a BSc in Applied Biology (Microbiology program) from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). His scholarly pursuits revolve around the production of biotechnological products, bioactive compounds, food processing and preservation. Dr. Nsengumuremyi's academic portfolio boasts over 20 publications, comprising peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference articles. Moreover, he has contributed to various research endeavors in Rwanda and the Russian Federation. Prior to his current role, Dr. Daniel Nsengumuremyi served as a lecturer at INES Ruhengeri (Rwanda) and National Research ITMO University (Russian Federation), as well as holding positions as a Research Engineer at Ural Federal University and National Research ITMO University, both situated in the Russian Federation.
